Job Description

Anglican Care Waiapu is the social services arm of the Anglican diocese of Waiapu, partnering with our parishes and communities to nurture lasting transformation. We provide services and programmes in the areas of early childhood education, social work and counselling, older people's programmes, grief support programmes, and after school care. We have a clear strategic plan, a highly engaged culture, a strongly embedded set of Christian values, and a passion for social change.
About the function:
Anglican Care Waiapu has eight ?Waiapu Kids? ECE centres across the region. Our centres all have their own flavour and character but incorporate the Waiapu Kids Philosophy into their practice and teaching: ?Waiapu Kids early childhood education services believe that each child is unique and created in the image of God. Jesus showed a special care and respect for tamariki. This belief guides our practice and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tangata whenua, and the wellbeing of children and their wh?nau.?
Our teaching teams are professional, skilled and passionate and consistently work to gain more knowledge r to support the provision of excellent early childhood education and support for wh?nau. For this function We are pursuing an practiced ECE leader with a passion for great results for tamariki, ideally with practice of managing multiple centres. this function will report to the newly created function of Chief Operating agent.

Key Requirements:
   » ECE qualified with current practising certificate; postgrad qualification in education or significant discipline highly desirable
   » Commitment to Christian early childhood education
   » A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and practice demonstrating this in practice
   » Previous practice managing ECE centres
   » Excellent communication expertise (written and verbal)
   » A positive and self-motivated approach
   » A high level of attention to detail and organisational expertise
   » The capability to build rapport and gain respect of the teaching teams
   » The capability to identify teachers' strengths to create specialists
   » A client centred and people driven approach
   » Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving expertise
   » Sound financial knowledge
   » Competent written and verbal expertise
   » High level of Information technology competence, including use of Word and Excel
   » A valid and clean New Zealand’s drivers’ license and capability to travel regularly
