They employ 1000+ people in all our national ports with the head office in Tauranga. Currently our port is working over-time to keep up with the supply chain of New Zealand’s import/export business and this function is integral to efficient functioning. This position reports to the Financial Controller and works within the cohesive finance team. It’s a down to earth professional environment with a good team. The function We require a senior Accounts Payable person to lead the AP team of 3 (including you). The key responsibilities of the function are: • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices ensuring they’re paid on time as per the agreed terms. • Working with Managers across the business nationally and different offices to ensure purchase order processes are adhered to. • Use TechOne software as well as managing POs in an ERP system with ‘robot’ technology. • Manage, develop and support the AP team. The Ideal Person To be a valuable asset to this team you’ll need to be able to pick up new tasks quickly and accurately, with good initiative and problem solving capability. AP is all about having accurate data entry and excel expertise, an capability to handle repetitive processes accurately and work well to deadlines. Our ideal is someone who can work 8am – 5pm, Mon-Fri, is a great communicator and team player – and ideally has managed people before.
