Overview of position

The purpose of the position is to provide communications advice and support to managers and teams. Communications Advisors drive and support communications priorities, including a focus on delivering high quality client communications.

Responsibilities include:

   »
Supporting the development of communications plans and strategies
   »
Writing content for internal and external channels including web, messaging and storytelling that are aligned with the current ?voice' and is client centric
   »
Provide communication support and advice which reflects leading practice in communications to support the strategic direction of this organisation
   »
Providing advice on development and management of the perceptions of key audiences
   »
Developing and delivering communication material and advice to support business changes
   »
Promotion of communication that builds knowledge and support for the function that the business groups plays in achieving government results

In addition, the position may be responsible for some of the following functions: planning and management of specific campaigns, production management of key communication material, writing and editing communication material, management of issues from a communications perspective.

Professional writing, editing and proofreading expertise across a variety of media
   »
Proven capability to grasp complex concepts quickly and translate into compelling communications
   »
practice or the capability to acquire practice in the areas of communications and public relations
   »
practice or capability to acquire practice in providing advice to clients and in working with suppliers
   »
Excellent knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology with effective organisation, planning and administration expertise
   »
capability to identify and locate appropriate sources of information for routine situations
