This is a unique and exciting function to establish a sustainable approach and to play a significant part in contributing to cross-sector efforts and lift functional literacy for adults and school leavers over the next 10 years.

results of your work will include establishing a strategy and road-map for significant and sustainable adult literacy in Auckland, building relationships and partnerships that can deliver a cross-sector approach for capacity building among literacy providers, increased public consciousness of the importance of literacy and an increased range of adult literacy services.

The function will be supported by specialist teams and staff, in particular a Literacy Specialist, Reading Engagement Specialists, Collections experts and Information Services team.
