He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust has been around the arts scene for nearly twenty years. Initially started to keep the Ugly Shakespeare Company alive, He Waka Eke Noa now works across the arts spectrum producing events and festivals, touring the USC nationally and running Kete Aronui, an accessible rehearsal, workshop, meeting and creative space in Onehunga. We also work in the commercial sector producing events that fund the non-revenue generating work we do such as mentoring and advising arts practitioners.
Our Executive Director is over - run with all the opportunities the Trust is pursuing, and needs a very organised personal adjunct (and sometimes production manager) to manage the day-to-day administration and organisation of both the ED and He Waka Eke Noa.
The ideal candidate with have an interest in the arts, but doesn't have to be an arts practitioner. Preferrably the candidate will have a strong background in supporting a senior function through incredible organisational expertise, a practical approach with excellent time management of themselves and others.
They will thrive in a multi-project environment and relate well in a customer facing function to achieve the strategic arts results of He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust by:

· Working to assist producing our tours, festivals and events
· Planning and implementing an annual national tour
· Working with the arts community to facilitate effective interface with KeteAronui, our venue in Onehunga
· Administering the Trust and comply with governance and legislative requirements
The function involves the capability to work across diversity and respect difference.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi sits strongly within our kaupapa to ensure we are a good treaty partner.
