DPMC has stood up a unit to lead and coordinate the government’s work on implementation of the Christchurch Call to Eliminate Terrorist and Violent Extremist Content Online. This tight-knit team of 4-5 people will work across DPMC, and with colleagues in MFAT, DIA and other agencies as required.

All DPMC functions are flexible by default and for this opportunity We are seeking for1 fulltime or 2 part-time staff at the Principal Policy Advisor level.

These functions are to be filled by Secondment and/or Fixed Term arrangements for a period of 14 months. The Christchurch Call Unit is a special project attached to the Policy Advisory Group.
Government National Security Clearance is desirable however Information technology is not essential.
Background
TheChristchurch Callis a key part of the response to the March 2019 attacks on the Christchurch mosques. The voluntary commitments in the Call are now being implemented by governments and online service providers, working within a multi-stakeholder community. The Call is now supported by 55 governments, 3 intergovernmental organisations, 10 technology companies, and an Advisory Network of over 50 civil society organisations.
