The Kaitiaki, Ranger (Heritage and Visitor) is a crucial operational function position which forms a close-knit team located in the Hawkes Bay District. Your key focus will be project coordination, contract management and project management with a range of values from $1,000 up to $100,000.
You will be part of a team responsible for structures and huts within the Hawkes Bay District. Therefore, you will be able to scope, understand and manage packages of work ensuring work is of high quality and delivered on time. You will need to have good literacy and numeracy expertise as some financial management is required.
This position is mainly located in our Napier office, but you will have the opportunity to get out into nature to contact with contractors and maintain huts, campsites and visitor centres.

   » Project Coordination and Project Management
   » Workflow prioritisation
   » Carpentry/Construction/Practical expertise
   » Have excellent Computer literacy expertise
   » Contractor Management expertise
   » Good communication expertise
   » Class 1 or above license
   » practice working with other agencies like Iwi, Council/s etc.
   » capability to work remotely and spend time away 3-5 days per month
