Job Description

We have an opportunity for a motivated Ministerial Advisor to join our Government Engagement and Support team.
The Government Engagement and Support team works across ACC to demonstrate the following:
   » Effectively deliver support services to the Minister and Associate Minister for ACC
   » Proactively, and responsively, manage Official Information Requests, Select Committee processes and Parliamentary questions
   » Support ACC’s engagement with, and involvement in, cross government initiatives
About the function
this function is responsible for preparing high quality and timely responses to at times complex and sensitive requests for information. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business is crucial to enable this. This is a 12-month fixed term position, covering a secondment.
What we’re looking for will include the following:
   » A smart influencer who’s great at communicating and connecting across an organisation
   » An capability to juggle conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines
   » Excellent oral and written communication expertise
   » practice in report and business writing
   » The capability to quickly form and maintain strong working relationships with other business groups and be confident to approach a wide variety of stakeholders
   » An knowledge of statutory interpretation
   » Knowledge of machinery of Government and preferably, practice from within this
As a Ministerial Advisor, you will get to use and build on your legislative knowledge and further develop your analytical expertise.We offer a base income $68k – $79k depending on practice, plus 9% super, along with an opportunity to grow and develop your career in one of New Zealand’s leading government agencies.
