Our work in the Policy Group is wide-ranging, with opportunities to shape thinking and drive change across the justice and social sectors. It’s also complex and challenging, with new tests of your critical thinking and relationship management expertise every day.
We are seeking for Policy Advisors and Senior Policy Advisors to join our growing Civil and Constitutionalunit . we At Presenthave vacancies in two of our four teams – the Independent Review of Electoral Law, and the Electoral and Constitutional teams.
Our work involves:
   » working with the independent panel appointed by the Minister of Justice to review our electoral law, to support public engagement, and help with the development of issues papers, discussion forums, and drafting of panel reports (See:www.beehive.govt.nz/release/government-review-electoral-law)
   » several significant privacy and information-sharing projects, including work on embedding the new Privacy Act 2020
   » general policy work to support and maintain our electoral system
   » wider policy work on our long-standing constitutional arrangements, within a Te Tiriti framework.

income range: The appointing income for an Advisor will be between $63,019 and $82,295, and for a Senior Advisor between $100,221 and $130,876, located on expertise and practice.
