Housekeeping manager:Job description:Housekeeping managerPayment: Paid Position ($25- $30)Job location: National Park Region: Taupo & Central Plateau practice: practice Necessary Listing Added: 22/09/2022 The Park is a popular 80 room tourist hotel with a substantial and popular restaurant operation and some meeting / conference business. Along with the pub nearby we are the main eating establishment. We’re located in National Park Village, Ruapehu District catering to a predominantly domestic clientele through the winter months and (pre Covid) a broad mix of international and domestic guests over spring and summer. Winter attraction is primarily skiing & snowboarding at NZ’s two largest ski areas, Whakapapa and Turoa. In summer a key attraction is the Tongariro Alpine Crossing walk along with mutli-day hikes, mountain biking, fishing etc. It’s a great area if you’re into the outdoors but no good if bars, restaurants and nightlife are your thing! Our season is very similar to Queenstown, strong most of the year but quiet May / June – we just don’t get their room rates! We are seeking for an practiced Housekeeping manager PERSONALITY AND expertise: » capability to lead, train and motivate a diverse team » Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays » everyday inspection of bedrooms and public areas to maintain the high standards » Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and passion for exceeding guest expectations » capability to achieve and exceed results, i.e. KPI’s, brand standards and cost management » Effectively and promptly handle guest requests and feedback » Clean and service guest rooms as required » Confident in performance management including reviews, coaching and disciplinary process. » Previous Housekeeping manager or leadership abilities practice is essential » practiced in the luxury hotel market, previous 5 Star practice preferred » Sound expertise of Guest Centrix and Microsoft applications » Excellent time management, organisational expertise and capability to work autonomously » Good written and verbal communication and computer expertise, English is essential » Good written and verbal communication and computer expertise, English is essential » You must currently reside in New Zealand and have working rights Skills:
