The Agile Coach is a key function within the Agile Practice and wider across ACC, supporting the strategic direction for the organisation and growing our in-house Agile capcapability as we move along our journey to be a continuous learning and delivery workplace.The Agile Coach will embody, truly live and breathe both the Agile and Lean principles. They will lead by example, encouraging experimentation, learning and supporting continuous improvement through innovation.We are seeking for an practiced Agile Coach to provide agile coaching and support to Product Managers, Product Owners and Senior Leaders. You will bring key skills to the team to support ACC’s Agile, Lean and DevOps journey. You will provide guidance and feedback on ways of working, SAFe agile practices, functions and responsibilities, tools and techniques and support teams with the establishment of, and transition to, a prosperous high performing Agile Release Train (ART).
You will coach and mentor developing Agile Coaches within the practice to build the internal agile capcapability within ACC, as well as organise and deliver learning and support ACC Agile community events such as Communities of Practice, expertise Clinics, and other learning opportunities.this function is a new permanent position within a newly established team, so you will need to demonstrate leadership abilities skills and an capability to help coach and develop others. To be prosperous in this function you will have the following:
   » Minimum of five years working as an Agile Coach and seven plus years working in an Agile environment
   » practice supporting senior leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other coaches to change mindsets and behaviours to align with the agile ways of working
   » Demonstrated practice being the ‘go to’ coach for others within the organisation, helping shape the agile journey
   » Demonstrated practice leading autonomous teams, ideally demonstrating strong servant leadership abilities.
   » broad practice with peer support and coaching for Agile Coaches
   » Proven practice applying an Agile mindset
   » practice in helping teams transition from traditional ways of working to Agile
   » Excellent communication skills
   » Proven coaching, facilitation and mentoring skills at the individual, team and leadership abilities level
   » practice using tools such as Jira, Kanban and Visual Management boards
   » practice working with multiple teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different cultures, co-located vs distributed etc.) (preferable)
   » practice working cross-organisation and with formal and informal networks – sharing practices and ideas on agile to support continuous improvement across the wider agile community within New Zealand
   » Current ICF accredited coaching certification (preferable)
   » Current Agile coaching certification (preferable)
   » Current Agile certification such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or SAFe (preferable)
