About our group and team As a Senior Test Analyst, you will join the Ministry’s Testing Services team, which forms part of a much wider ICT capcapability. This is a dynamic team responsible for delivering functional testing for everything from maintenance and enhancements to defect fixes and large-scale projects. About this function located in Wellington, we have three exciting fixed-term vacancies to work as part of a challenging and exciting programme of work. We are seeking for talented Test Analysts with senior level practice across all phases of the software testing lifecycle. This includes test planning, test design and preparation, test execution, test reporting as well as any close out activities. About you: » Are you an practiced Test Analyst looking to join a supportive team? » Do you have end to end testing practice with an agile mindset? Then we would like to hear from you! As the ideal candidate, you will bring the following: » In depth expertise and prior practice working as a Test Analyst, ideally in a Senior capacity » practice with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum and Kanban etc) » Skilled in executing system and system integration tests as well as proficient in regression testing » Good expertise of API testing tools and the capability to write acceptance tests from user stories and desire to extend your skills in other areas of testing » Prior practice using the following tools would be an advantage; Jira, Azure Devops and Enterprise Tester » The capability to apply a business lens when testing new functionalities » A pragmatic, flexible and adaptable approach to work » The capability to work in cross functional teams » The capability to work well under pressure working to tight deadlines » Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written particularly business writing and reporting, ensuring your communication is always clear and concise » Be an excellent team player who is inclusive, collaborative and supportive » The capability to demonstrate your motivations to work in an environment that is committed to benefit our education system.
