   » Wellington located permanent position in the Family and Wh?nau Policy team
The Family and Community Policy group works on a range of cross cutting health and social issues, including child and youth wellbeing, family and sexual violence, primary and community care, homelessness and the social determinants of health. The Group also leads policy advice on Abortion Law Reform and End of Life Choice. You will work with other agencies and the health and discapability sector to provide advice on improving results for all New Zealanders.
We’d love for you to join us in our Family and Wh?nau policy team. You’ll bring an knowledge of public policy issues including Te Tiriti and Equity requirements, and have demonstrated success in developing fit for purpose policy advice in a dynamic environment. You will get to work on a broad range of issues, with good opportunities for professional development.
As a highly collaborative policy professional who can see the benefits of strong policy advice using data analysis and research to evidence advice, you bring with you a strong capability to take complex information and make Information technology significant across a range of audiences.
Your advice is able to be understood by a range of audiences -breaking complex problems into achievable equitable solutions.
If you are a Principal or Senior Policy Analyst, you will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and mentoring others to further develop their policy expertise. You are open to learning from others, seeking opportunities through your work to further grow both your written and analytical expertiseets.
At times you will be part of virtual teams across the Ministry and sector, including policy, operational and clinical stakeholders. You’ll understand the machinery of government and know how to collaborate to get things done.
