The Department of Internal Affairs' Regulatory Services team is a risk-located, responsive and modern regulator providing effective regulatory services in an increasingly complex, borderless, and digital world.We are seeking for two Systems Specialist to join our Digital Safety team - one in Auckland, and one in Wellington. You will be joining a team where we work to ensure the online safety of New Zealanders. About the function We are seeking for two practiced system specialists to join the Digital Messaging & Systems team. You will support systems for: » Digital Violent Extremism » Digital Child Exploitation » Design, Engagement and Innovation » Intelligence and Insights » Digital Messaging and Systems Key requirements of the function: » Strong technical background with capcapability across infrastructure, networking, databases and application development and management » Demonstrates continuous improvement of Information technology systems and methodologies to ensure Digital Safety technology is fit for purpose » capability to effectively manage workload by balancing multiple competing priorities including project work and Business As Usual system support » An engaging, confident communicator who can explain complex technical information to a variety of audiences from senior leaders to frontline staff This is not a development function. We need practiced people with an appetite for challenge and a history of success. Preferred candidates may be required to undergo psychometric profiling as part of our selection criteria. There may be exposure to harmful content due to the nature of the work.
