THE DAY TO DAY Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day kitchen tasks preparation and coordination of particular sections of kitchen production is what the bulk of the job entails. » Preparing and cooking appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand and minimize waste. » Ensuring the necessary stock are on hand at the right quality and quantity. » Ensuring food service is in conformity with the guests order in a manner and time frame that optimizes service quality. Along with your commitment to exceptional guest service the expertise and practice a prosperous candidate will have are: » Level 3 or 4 New Zealand Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or similar international qualification preferred. » practice in a kitchen environment Joining the Ruapehu whanau you will also need to share a set of values that helps make us who we are. We are guided by the principle of upholding the mana of the maunga through Manaakitanga (for people) Kaitiakitanga (for place) and Kotahitanga (together as one) so being able to work alongside others productively create significant connections with everyone and support our function as kaitiki is essential for success.
