Together we are currently seeking a candidate for the function of Marketing adjunct. This is an opportunity for the right person to build their capabilities in this area, and make a contribution to the live performance scene here in T?maki Makaurau.This is an independent contractor function set at 8 hours per week, at a rate of $28 an hour, with expected contract finish date of the end of February 2023. They will report to Basement's Marketing Manager and will also work closely with the Programme Manager, Programme adjunct, the Ticketing and FOH Coordinator, and the Bar Manager. The ideal start date is Monday 12th September, 2022. Candidates for this function will be organised and motivated, and keen to gain more practice in the process of promoting and publicising live performance made by independent artists. They will have a bit of marketing or arts administration practice up their sleeve, some knowledge of the underground arts landscape in T?maki Makaurau, an interest in audience accessibility, and dynamic creative-thinking abilities. They will of course have a genuine passion for live performance, will enjoy working collaboratively in an intimate small team setting, and will understand the importance of centering and nurturing relationships in a mana-enhancing workplace. It is also very important to us that our team members hold a strong knowledge of what cultural and community safety means and looks like in the arts. Candidates will align with our organisation's desire to activate authentic cultural intersectionality, will hold community equity as a core driver in their work, and will confidently contribute to a work environment that aspires toward the bicultural partnership within Te Tiriti ? Waitangi. In the Marketing adjunct function, you will: » Support the management of, and bring innovative ideas to, Basement's digital and social media profiles and channels, including the creation and delivery of content. » Support the creation of the weekly digital newsletters, including copy writing and image sourcing. » Assist in the management of website content and functionality, including monitoring accuracy and currency. » Update event listings on external websites, including Eventfinda, The Big Idea, Our Auckland and Facebook » Support the gathering of promotional content from artists and external hirers, and assist in promotion of their shows » Capture positive audience testimonials for promotional purposes » Support the creation of seasonal promotional material for all season launches » Support the publicity of seasonal programmes » Archive Basement and artist promotional collateral including production stills and media mentions » Support the promotion of Basement produced events such as our artist development programmes and one-off community events » Support the promotion of all bar events and promotions » Support the delivery of our annual Christmas Show marketing campaign » Support the creation of artist resources and guides on a needs basis » Support the promotion of donor programmes including ?Basement Mates' and ?Basement Lovers' When seeking team members, Basement preferences the engagement of Tangata Whenua as well as people belonging to our other ?Vital Voice' communities including POC, immigrant communities, queer communities, and disabled communities.
