Job Opportunity: Dairy Farm - Beautiful Midcanterbury:Job description:Dairy Farm - Beautiful MidcanterburyPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22 per hour + accom)Job location: Ashburton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 21/04/2021 Flexible position - Start Jun/July, 3-6 months (negotiable) Do you want to save money and work in a positive team, help us take care of our dairy herd? We are seeking for one or two friendly and down to earth people to help us through our busy season or part of it! practice working with animals would be a bonus. Most important is a 'can do' attitude, sense of humour, and you need to be willing to get your hands dirty! We have a great, hard working enthusiastic young international team who are passionate about what we do! Our ideal person will be able to: -Work well as a key part of the team -Follow our workplace safety guidelines -Be a fast learner -Use their initiative -Communicate easily in English -Lgain systems and expertise through on-the-job training -Drive vehicles / tractors / motorbikes (Full tailored training provided) -Display a current, valid work Visa or working holiday visa -Have their own transport -Start work sometime around June/July -Be physically capable, fit and healthy -Provide references where possible Accomodation on farm provided, various options, all low cost Work hours ~30-50 hrs per week - it's a 'full on' function to get stuck into! We offer regular and time off and there is plenty to see and do in the Mid Canterbury region. We have regular social events with our awesome international team - we have Welsh, Kiwi, Argentine, South African..... where are you from?! Great local young farmers scene, not far from Mt Hutt Ski field (45 mins to Methven). Ashburton has great facilities for sports, the outdoors, mountain biking nearby. Lots of good hiking / tramping / hunting + fishing etc. 3G / 4G wireless coverage on the farm so your devices will be happy.
