Our client is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician within the Agriculture sector, to join their installation and repair team. They are the one stop shop for a wide range of farm equipment, water & effluent systems, engineering, and electrical requirements. They also stock water filters, vee belts, batteries and much, much more. In this position, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units. To ensure success in this role, you should have advanced knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, good mechanical skills and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, a top-class Refrigeration Technician expertly installs, repairs and maintains refrigeration equipment for a client with the least amount of down-time. Duties and Responsibilities » Contacting the client to ascertain their equipment needs. » Processing and completing work orders. » Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics. » Observing and testing newly installed systems. » Replacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors. » Informing clients of repair costs and alternate cooling options. » Ordering equipment supplies, repair modules, and sundries for the order. » Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures. » Maintaining stock levels. » Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment. Technical Qualifications and Experience » Limited Electrical License (full license preferred). » Trade Certificate in Refrigeration. » A minimum of 3-5 years' experience. » Proven experience in the commercial and industrial service, maintenance and installation of equipment within the refrigeration and building services industry. » Excellent ability to build effective relationships with clients. » Excellent communication skills to clearly relate with clients and peers. » Current clean NZ drivers license. » Demonstrated experience with controls and building management systems. » Knowledge and commitment to health and safety and a passion for maintaining a safe work environment.
