About us Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day. About the function The Technology in Schools (TiS) team manages schools’ ICT network infrastructure to enable the use of technology to support teaching, school administration and building management. TiS is responsible for ensuring that schools enjoy a reliable, high performance network. The Advisor function will work collaboratively with many stakeholders across the Ministry, different Government Agencies and other EIS business units. The function will be responsible for preparing responses to information requests and proactively preparing brief ings or communication. The Advisor will work with colleagues to apply analysis and risk assessment to a range of information requests, and lead the team to provide quality, consistent advice to senior leaders and Ministers’ offices with expert input from subject matter experts. About you Your practice responding to Ministerial Correspondence, media enquiries and/or Select Committee engagement will be invaluable. You must be able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles to get messages across with the desired effect. You will also offer the following: » Strong writing expertise, and the drive to produce quality work to a high standard daily » A pro-active approach to continuous improvement » Demonstrated capability to work in and manage ambiguity » capability to identify risks » Customer-focused and able to build relationships and engage productively with senior staff Are you ready to make a difference?
