The application of which is vital in yourfunction of a Maori w?hine Advocate.This is an exciting function for someone who is passionate about wh?nau and safety. I would love to hear from you and how you feel your mahi would contribute to the empowerment of w?hine. You will have: » Have a broad-located knowledge of M?ori values and knowledge including the contextual background. » Are a conversational speaker of Te Reo M?ori » Plan and conduct your work with appropriate reference to tikanga and kawa » Actively consider ways of incorporating and representing Te Ao M?ori in your work » Are knowledgeable about iwi and hapu groups as well as Maori leaders and other important M?ori figures. » Have already existing relationships with whanau, hapu and iwi. The prosperous applicant will have a Social Work degree, Tautoko and Manaaki a Whanau (Social Work) or equivalent i.e counselling, or working towards a relative qualification. practice supporting vulnerable families and working alongsidewhanau, hapu or iwi if preferred. The prosperous candidate will need to be able to pass NZ police vetting and Vulnerable Children's Act check, and have a full clean drivers' license.
