Senior Web Designer

We are seeking for:
   » Someone that can collaborate with web, desktop, and mobile product development and design teams to proactively identify and actively remediate accessibility issues.
   » Evaluate and analyse various products using assistive technologies (manual and automated processes) to implement Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
   » Provide support for 3rd-party product accessibility evaluations conducted with accessibility consultants.
   » Create or heavily contribute to product Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs), providing detail for product-specific accessibility features and conformance levels.
   » Remain current on accessibility best practices and standards, and work iteratively to improve internal strategies, project tracking environments, and resource infrastructure.
   » Engage with customers, partners, and vendors on accessibility inquires, standards, and product requirements.
   » Practical practice with assistive technologies such as screen readers (eg JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers (eg ZoomText), and voice recognition tools (eg Dragon products).
   » Practical practice with accessibility best practices.
   » Familiarity with current accessibility standards and guidelines (eg WCAG, NZ Government Web Standards).
   » Practical and conceptual expertise of web-located programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
   » Confident in capability to communicate accessibility requirements and information across various stakeholder audiences (eg developers, product managers, end users, customers).
   » Degree in computer science, user practice, design, applied social science, or related field desirable.
