Manage the development and delivery of Capital E's leading Live performance programme including all National Theatre for Children and festival activity.
This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team to make a vital contribution to creative lives of children and young people.
this function manages all aspects of the Capital E Live offer, superviseing the production of an artistically robust, innovative programme for the National Theatre for Children and other activities such as the biennial Festival, working in close collaboration with partners and stakeholders.

Capital E is part of practice Wellington that provides the city with world-class museums, cutting-edge contemporary art, the region's only publicly accessible space science practice and the only facility in New Zealand dedicated to tamariki and their creativity. Our visitor practices include: Capital E, SpacePlace at Carter Observatory, City Gallery Wellington, Nairn Street Cottage, Wellington Museum and the Cable Car Museum. We also support the operation of the New Zealand Cricket Museum.
The prosperous applicant will:
   » Possess in-depth practice of producing performing arts by, for and with children and young people
   » Have sound expertise and proven practice in one or more of the performing arts
   » Demonstrate a high level of contract and project management practice
   » Proven expertise in initiating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and practice in acquitting and reporting to funders and partners
Some of this function's accountabilities:
   » To manage all aspects of Capital E live ensuring that all activities align with our vision, stakeholder expectations and future audience priorities.
   » To manage a cohesive, responsive Live team who strive for excellence and are innovative, forward thinking, collaborative and committed to providing excellent practices for children and young people.
   » To work collaboratively across Capital E and practice Wellington to develop and deliver vibrant cross-disciplinary programmes for, with and by children and young people.
   » To position Capital E's performance programmes as leaders in the performing arts sector, and to build sector capcapability via special projects and initiatives engaging audiences, creative practitioners and performers.
We are seeking for a person who brings deep practice and broad expertise around producing and managing performing arts programmes for, with and by children and young people, as well as energy, creativity and resourcefulness.
