Approximate hours of work are 12pm to 6pm. Hours vary according to weekeneds/weekdays, public holidays and weather which can cause no work. During busy periods extra staff may be provided. Relief staff can be organised for special time away. expertise can easily be obtained and initial training will be provided. Drivers license would be required. Generally the job is very pleasant and entertaining. The hours of work allow for evening entertainment and morning activities. Ideally this work would suit a couple who have a camper van which could be parked at the business owners woolshed where the washing and cooking facilities can be used and plenty of room to escape from the van and avoid cabin fever. The 60 hectare farm provides amazing recreation being on the boundary of the Kaimai forest park and boundaries the Waitawheta river which has exceptional water holes for swimming and fishing as well as many scenic walks and Hauraki rail trail cycling. Extra work may be available depending on expertise and abilities. The Waihi location is unique as Information technology is on the doorstep of the Coromandel, Tauranga/Mt Maunganui and Hamilton are an hour away and Auckland is under two hours away with Taupo just over two. Last year Waihi beach was voted New Zealands best beach. If you are just backpacking a car may be available for use and possibly accommodation. The business owners are seasoned travellers and practiced backpackers and familiar with challenges of working abroad who can also speak a little French.
