About our group and team The Resourcing Group is responsible for delivering operational funding and staffing entitlements to nearly 2,500 schools. We administer annual payments of approximately $5.8 billion to Schools and Kura. The Monitoring team provides the Ministry with assurance that schools and licensed early learning (ECE) services have received the correct resourcing entitlement. This involves completing resource allocation audits, special reviews and the reconciliation of resourcing and funding claims in both the school and early learning sectors. About this function The Team Leader has responsibility for the oversight and management of the resourcing audit work schedule for schools and early learning services in their audit area. The Team Leader will be required to lead the Resourcing Auditors in their audit region and have accountcapability for their performance and development, ensuring that the team has the capcapability to conduct the audit schedule. About you You should either have a tertiary qualification or practice working in a public sector agency, team leadership abilities and auditing practice, excellent written and verbal communication expertise, as well as strong relationship management expertise. You will be expected to demonstrate the following: » Proven practice in a position of responsibility and practice in team management and leadership abilities » In depth knowledge and proven practice of the principles of auditing » practice of training and mentoring team members » Strong interpersonal and relationship management expertise, including negotiation and conflict resolution » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga This is a challenging and compensateing function, where you’ll have the opportunity to help shape a highly visible area of our business that has a direct impact on resourcing in our education system.
