My client is seeking someone who has practice and knowledge of the NZ Transport and Logistics Industry. This is a NZ owned company, established in the 70’s and is rapidly growing. This is a rare opportunity for someone looking to grow their skill set and work for a company who have their employees at the front of what they do! About the function: The right candidate will have will be extremely organised and have great communication expertise. This position will keep you busy as you will be planning and scheduling the trucks between Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga. You will have a solid knowledge of the road transport sector as you will be working to ensure the logics of the container operations and local metro is organised in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include: » Ensure all compliance with health and safety legislations, Logistics, ABGL and BOC standards » Promote safety first and lead by example to ensure a strong team safety culture » Planning the routes for maximum efficiency for all trucks and jobs given and when appropriate » Creating new jobs and updating existing jobs when required » Planning and scheduling the trucks between Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga - Pre-trip checks are completed and ensuring the drivers paperwork is current » Develop and maintain strong relationships with your team managers and external staff to ensure everything runs smoothly. practice and Requirements: » Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise » Intermediate Microsoft Office stills » capability to work in a team environment » Proven scheduling practice » Operations background and knowledge of Port and Rail Facilities and booking progresses desired but not required » And knowledge of the road transport sector desired.
