About the function:
Howick Historical Village is going through an exciting time with a new vision and purpose. this function is a key driver to enacting these changes as we work to showcase our cultural heritage through the lens of our new Strategic Plan, available here.

The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the promotion of Howick Historical Village through all channels including media, advertising, and internet, taking responsibility of the organisation's profile and social media presence across multiple platforms.

The function is accountable for the concept, development, and implementation of HHV's marketing plans and budgets, and responsible for managing and promoting the Village's brand value, image, and product. You will grow our social media content with quality, on brand, significant content creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
Some flexibility will be required to cover evening, weekend, and holiday events.
About you:
   »Knowledge and practice
   » significant Bachelor's degree (or higher) in marketing or communications welcomed but not required if provide proven significant work practice.
   » At least 2 years ' practice in digital marketing with preference for Social Media Coordinator practice.
   » practice knowledge and applying principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and honouring the Treaty of Waitangi particularly in sharing stories and information connected to M?ori culture and heritage.
   » capability to deliver unique and engaging social media content.
   » Knowledge of website design and development desirable, particularly if practiced with Squarespace.
   » Knowledge of the following social media channels: Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.
   » Excellent content creation expertise in photography and video.
   » practice using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro etc) and or Canva.
   » Using a scheduling tool like Later.
   » practice in copywriting and content development for social audiences and SEO.
   » practice of dealing with the public and media.
   » Proven significant practice of branding.
   » Budget management responsibilities.
   » practice within a museum, historic property, or heritage site preferable.
   » Interest in the Culture Heritage Sector.

   » Strong communication expertise - written and verbal - in a positive and professional manner.
   » Creative and can generate new ideas and content.
   » Excellent engaging copywriting expertise and creativity.
   » High levels of initiative and capability to take responsibility.
   » Excellent analytical expertise.
   » Methodical with a high attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountcapability.
   » Excellent knowledge of and practice with Microsoft applications.
   » Excellent time management expertise and capability to multi-task.
   » Excellent social listening expertise.
   » Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools.
   » capability to work on own initiative but also collaboratively as a team member.
