Located within the Glacier Country area, close to the ski fields of Wanaka and Queenstown, with hunting, fishing, tramping and pristine landscapes all at your fingertips? Would you enjoy helping develop a great team to provide traditional West Coast Hospitality and great cuisine to cater to the needs of our visitors? We require an enthusiastic Café Manager to help us rebuild out team in preparation for the return of international visitors to our region. Great management, communication and leadership abilities expertise plus a passion for all things food and coffee are essential. Position Description Full time, with weekend work required Managing every aspect of the day-to-day operation of the cafe Cooking/ baking/ food preparation Barista tasks Menu development /costings Customer service Managing telephone and email bookings Liquor Licence Manager’s Certificate The person needs A passion for cooking and all things food A flair for food presentation Exceptional customer service expertise Cooking and baking expertise The capability to work under pressure in an organised and orderly fashion Excellent work ethics and high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, including personal appearance and hygiene The capability to be flexible to accommodate the needs of other staff To be able to work sole charge where necessary The person must have an excellent command of the English Language (written, spoken, and knowledge), must be eligible to work in New Zealand with current visas and IRD status.
