M? m?tou – About us Our Care and Protection Residences focus on providing care for tamariki and rangatahi who are at the highest levels of risk from all across New Zealand. We believe in a positive future for our tamariki and their wh?nau and we support them to be safe and flourish. Our goal for our tamariki is that they prosperously transition back into their community. M? te t?nga – About the function We are seeking for a motivated and energetic person with previous practice in working with youth to join our team of Night Attendants. The position is full time 40 hours per week working on a roster that covers some weekends and public holidays. A penal allowance is payable as part of the remuneration package. The hours are 10.00pm to 6.30am. As a Residential Night Attendant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for providing safe care for young people, security of property during the night and general administrative and household activities. M?u – About you: » A full clean NZ driver’s licence is essential » Meet the Children’s Act safety checking and our vetting requirements » A valid visa – New Zealand residency or citizenship » Be a strong team player and positive function model » Have practice in working rostered shifts/night shifts » Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement, with an capability to ‘think on your feet’ » Be self-directed in work practices » Have excellent written and verbal communication expertise » Be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) » practice in social services, including working with at-risk children or youth is preferred, but not essential How to apply?
