We help shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. We do this by building relationships and knowledge the needs of those who receive our services. About our group and team Te Tai Raro – Tai Tokerau is a frontline group providing leadership abilities and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services, such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services. The Network team support a passionate team of Education Advisors dedicated to improving the results of tamariki working closely with the education sector from Cape Reinga to Te Hana from our modern office in Whang?rei. About this function The focus of this function is to monitor, assess and analyse population changes, school roll fluctuations and other trends and changes impacting on the structure of the education provision at all levels of the education network. This will include, planning and analytical support, project design, interpreting data from a number of sources and creating significant insights. About you You will have practice in an analytical function where you have extracted and reviewed data from different sources looking for trends, created reports highlighting risks and opportunities and presented your findings in a significant way to a variety of different stakeholders. You will also offer the following: » Well developed knowledge of statistical and/or demographic analysis with familiarity with a range of methodologies and techniques » Sound knowledge of demography, including analysing, interpreting and communicating demographic information » Applied knowledge and knowledge of a range of computer packages including Excel, Word, Access, MapInfo and SuperMap » Strong relationship management and communication expertise » practice engaging with iwi would be advantageous » The capability to build a good knowledge of the wider regional environment » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Tangata Whenuatanga We can offer you a supportive team environment where you will have the opportunity to develop your expertiseet whilst working on interesting programmes of work.
