The Board and supporting Secretariat is a body corporate separate from and independent of the Auckland Council. The Board's Mission is: Te t?nuitanga i ng? p?nga M?ori i T?maki Makaurau – to advance the interests of M?ori in T?maki Makaurau. Your focus will include: » Ensuring M?ori are recognised and included in the decision-making process of T?maki Makaurau regarding the development of the city and plans for its future » superviseing the development of papak?inga and housing initiatives to ensure equity for M?ori in the space » Providing a pathway for M?ori to connect easily with our uniquely cultural support systems including marae and w?nanga.
