Information Technology provides the Ministry with the support Information technology needs to plan, deliver, use and maintain a range of Information technology Systems. ICT Strategy, Planning, and Architecture (SPA) work with the Ministry and education sector to ensure clear alignment and connection between business strategy, Digital strategy, and digital solution design. We have recently undertaken a review of our current workforce and have identified several functions we need to fill to ensure that our delivery commitment is continued at its high standard and as a result of this We are seeking for a Senior Technical Architect-Security. About this function We are seeking for a Senior Technical Architect with strong practice in designing cloud native applications and a passion for security. You will be responsible for the following: » Providing technical leadership abilities and mentoring for teams » Defining best practice and standards » Working with teams to design functional technology solutions About you To be prosperous in this function, the ideal candidate will have the below skills and practice: » Strong specialist skills in the domain of Security Architecture » Deep expertise across one of the public cloud providers, ideally in AWS or Azure » Strong skills across a broad range of technologies and tools » practice in designing solutions for complex business and technical environments in a senior technical function » Expert expertise of the design of solutions using enterprise patterns, system patterns, development patterns, and current enterprise technologies » capability to conduct and direct research into ICT issues and products as required » Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers » The capability to work collaboratively and flexibly » Openness to diverse perspectives and inputs » The capability to work within large and complex environments and dealing with ambiguity » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Are you ready to make a difference?
