Stormwater Engineer

Are you an practiced intermediate or senior stormwater engineer looking to play an important function in future-proofing one of the fastest growing regions in New Zealand? This is a function that provides you an opportunity to develop our stormwater strategy and put your mark on this vital community response.
Due to significant growth in our district, We are seeking for a stormwater-focused civil engineer to help our busy Waste and Drainage Department deliver on a wide variety of stormwater projects.
These include:
   » covering the backlog of maintenance requirements aimed at meeting and maintaining levels of service.
   » Condition assessment of existing assets to develop long term programs for renewal projects.
   » Developing catchment management plans to meet evolving water quality discharge standards that the government are focused on.
   » Investigating the effects of flooding within our communities.
   » Developing strategies to deal with climate change.
expertise and practice that We are seeking for:
 
   » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise.
   » A tertiary qualification in Water Engineering or Civil Engineering [Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) preferable].
   » Civil engineering design.
   » Hydrology, hydraulics of pipe and open channel networks.
   » Catchment planning.
   » Water quality treatment.
   » Flood risk assessment.
   » Resource Consent compliance.
   » Technical assessments of land development applications.
   » Construction management.
