This is a function that provides you an opportunity to develop our stormwater strategy and put your mark on this vital community response.Due to significant growth in our district, We are seeking for a stormwater-focused civil engineer to help our busy Waste and Drainage Department deliver on a wide variety of stormwater projects. These include: » covering the backlog of maintenance requirements aimed at meeting and maintaining levels of service. » Condition assessment of existing assets to develop long term programs for renewal projects. » Developing catchment management plans to meet evolving water quality discharge standards that the government are focused on. » Investigating the effects of flooding within our communities. » Developing strategies to deal with climate change. expertise and practice that We are seeking for: » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise. » A tertiary qualification in Water Engineering or Civil Engineering [Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) preferable]. » Civil engineering design. » Hydrology, hydraulics of pipe and open channel networks. » Catchment planning. » Water quality treatment. » Flood risk assessment. » Resource Consent compliance. » Technical assessments of land development applications. » Construction management.
