We are seeking for a leader to join us as Head of School – Health and Counselling, reporting to the General Manager and is located at our Manukau Campus.We are seeking for a leader with passion and skill to lead the School of Health and Counselling. You will be an outstanding communicator with demonstrated capability to build and sustain collaborative relationships. You will be organised, innovative, a strategic thinker, flexible and committed to high quality teaching results for our degree and diploma students. In this key function you will provide academic leadership abilities of the School to ensure student success at all levels. In collaboration with other sector leaders within MIT, you will promote the growth and development of the School of Health and Counselling. As the ideal applicant you will have a post graduate qualification in Health and Counselling, practice in managing a professional and diverse team of highly-qualified educators and the capability to set and monitor budgets, as well as an in-depth expertise of tertiary funding policy. You will be a strong leader, responsible for the operational and financial management of the School as well as developing relationships with industry. Collaboration is the key to success for this function. You will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication expertise, have the capability to coach and influence to create a high performing team with a positive culture. You will need to hit the ground running and be prepared to get your hands dirty, doing the work together with your team.
