This centre is relatively new, having opened in 2016 and priding themselves on their implementation of Emmi Pikler and RIE theories. They provide an inquiry-located learning environment where questions, problems and scenarios are posed during the process of play which assists the development of inquisitive, curious, motivated, capable young children as they transition to primary school. This centre is unique in the way that they have all meals prepared fresh on site and they are all sugar free which is the first centre out West to do so! They have an adventurous and challenging outdoor area that has been crafted in a way that offers a peaceful yet playful environment for the children. About the function: » You will need to be either a Fully Registered ECE Teacher with your Level 7 (ECE) certificate » You will have practice as a Head Teacher » This is a 40 hour week (can be slightly flexible with hours if necessary) » You will demonstrate a deep knowledge of programme planning and mentoring » Your commitment to compliance standards will be high » You will have strong relationship building expertise » You will share the centre's commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi principles and the centre's philosphy of Emmi Pikler and RIE theories » You will form strong bonds with the tamariki, the Whanau and the community » You will be able to balance providing the children with rich learning practices aswell as meeting the operational objectives that is necessary for this function Our commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
