As the Shift Manager you will oversee managing the operations of the Production Department on a designated rotating shift basis or fixed afternoon shift to achieve production targets within established safety, time, quality, and cost constraints. Working Week: » Mon-Fri - 50hrs a week » Rotating Shifts - 2 weeks days 5am - 3.30pm, 2 weeks afternoons 3.30pm - 2am Or Afternoon Shifts - 3.30pm - 2am » Saturdays during peak production Reporting to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: » Overseeing operations across a shift » Managing large, culturally diverse teams » Initiate to drive a safe workplace including and ensuring you and your team follow company H&S policies and regulations » Ensure all resources and tools are available for your team to meet production targets » Monitor variables affecting production yields and initiate corrective action » Participate in production meetings » Manage breakdowns and other issues impacting on production, escalating and coordinating support resources as and when required » Detailed reporting and communication of outstanding issues to facilitate seamless 24/7 operations » Ensure that all statutory and company safety and quality standards are implemented as appropriate and adhered to by all team members » Lead the safety initiative in the department through toolbox meeting and safety talks, hazard identification/risk assessment, accident investigation, development of safe operating procedures and through personal role modelling of exemplary OH&S standards » Assist with training and team development Skills & Experience: » Previous shift management experience » Prior Fibre container industry knowledge » Excellent communication skills » Leadership & people management experience » You will be solutions focused and want to make a difference » Flexible and adaptable to work outside of your set times » Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to think on your feet To be considered for this position, please apply online and attach a current CV and any relevant employment related certificates.
