Job Offer: Senior Information Advisor:Central Agency Shared ServicesJob description:Job DescriptionThis is a full-time and permanent function located in WellingtonWe have an opportunity for a senior information advisor in records and information management; to join the Information and Research Services team at the National Assessments Bureau, DPMC This is a key advisory and engagement function in a small team, providing records management and system support, advice, and training to staff in the National Security Group of DPMC. The function provides the lead for an continuing programme of work and initiatives to enhance and develop the agencies management of data, information and records You will have » A significant tertiary qualification in information management or professional qualification and several years of work practice » knowledge of significant legislation and its application, particularly the Public Records Act, the Official Information Act and the Privacy Act » practice in database administration and excellent knowledge of database structure and metadata application » Good knowledge of best practice information management and what Information technology entails » Excellent communication expertise and a strong customer service focus » The capability to work collaboratively in a small information team which provides a range of information services » Demonstrated problem solving expertise and training/presentation expertise The total remuneration (base income + superannuation) for this function is $77,305 – $85,895 – $98,779 To be eligible for this position, you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years. You must also be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where significant and reliable checks can be undertaken..
