Ensuring our health research system tangibly improves health and wellbeing for the people who need Information technology most, you will be part of a team working on identifying and funding innovative, significant health research to make a real difference to New Zealand and the across the globe.
With a team of 30 permanent staff, this organisation is forward thinking and are actively working on changing how they work. Offering flexible working, an additional 10 days leave a year, and a close-knit community, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
This newly created function will allow you to take the lead in critical analysis to help shape the direction ofthe organisation and health research across New Zealand as a whole. Although there is an aspect of analysis inmany functions within the organisation, you will be required to provide high-quality data and evidence on which to base policy advice, and analysis and evaluation to optimise the organisations potential to achieve their strategic goals. Your expertise will be honed to a level where you can identify systems issues in data and be able to provide solutions to ensure the integrity of that data. This important position will contribute to sector-wide strategic and policy development initiatives, stakeholder engagement and communication and assisting with statutory reporting and accountcapability requirements.
To succeed in the function, you will need a long-term view that will ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of health research in New Zealand, and an active commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with an knowledge of the unique status of M?ori as t?ngata whenua.
Your practice:
   » A postgraduate qualification and/or significant health and health research practice
   » Able to apply an equity lens to the data
   » Exceptional analytical and evaluations expertise, advanced Excel and ideally the capability to create ‘dashboards’ using Power BI
