About the role: This role is responsible for supporting the Country Finance Manager and the New Zealand business, in financial accounting services including payroll, accounts and reporting as required. Primary responsibilities include: » Meeting financial reporting obligations including the Monthly Financial Letter, Annual Report and related audit processes including internal and external » Correctly process monthly IFRS obligations in relation to leasing, intercompany, fixed assets and all other related items » Manage tax compliance, including overseas requirements by preparing al tax returns (including PAYE, withholding tax, FBT, GST, provisional tax and income tax) for Country Finance Manager review and ultimate filing with IRD » Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring timely and regular payment runs and management of country DSO at agreed levels » Provide financial analysis and detail as required in relation to financial reporting, supporting team deadlines Accountabilities: » Utilise technology to transform the financial reporting processes to provide valuable insight into business activity » Seek for improvements in information to deliver to our internal and external stakeholders » Support the rest of the team, share reporting knowledge and influence decision making around reporting solutions » Foster and encourage a culture of positivity and fun within the team Qualifications and experience: » 5+ years' Financial Accounting or Audit experience » CPA Qualified » Understanding and experience in preparing GAAP and/or IRFS financial statements » Ability to understand and prepare basic cashflow forecasts » Excellent understanding of New Zealand Company Law Additional information: » Start date: 6th September 2021 » Maternity cover for approximately 8 months » 4 weeks training provided by current Senior Financial Accountant Please note we will only be accepting applications from candidates with working rights in New Zealand.
