CRS is part of the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Discapability Service and responds to the acute needs of people who are experiencing psychological distress and require immediate intervention in our community. Te Whare Ahuru (Adult inpatient unit) Te Whare Ahuru is an acute 24 hour mental health assessment and treatment unit for adults aged from 18 upwards who are experiencing serious mental health concerns. The team is multi-disciplinary with a focus on recovery and returning people to their usual life with community support if needed. We aim to provide the best possible clinical care in a respectful, supportive, safe and caring environment. What you'll do Our Consultant Psychiatrists are responsible for ensuring that all clinical steps are taken to assist patients to achieve optimal health, wellbeing and safety through the provision of appropriate assessment, intervention and education. As well as providing high quality diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients, you'll be responsible for supporting clinical development of the service. Our organisation and region The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Discapability Service (MHAIDS) spans three DHBs - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast DHB's and includes local, regional, and national services. The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3DHB sub-region - greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa. Wellington is the Capital of New Zealand. The Wellington region offers great restaurants, a vibrant cultural scene and coffee culture as well as ample opportunity for outdoor pursuits.
