About us
Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent results for every child.
About the function
The Portfolio Coordinator is responsible for providing portfolio level tracking monitoring and reporting, as well as providing guidance and advice on portfolio, programme and project processes.
Your key priorities will include the following:
   » Managing and maintaining portfolio and programme data and documentation
   » Assume the responsibility data integrity; sense checking and challenging where data is questionable
   » Regular and ad hoc portfolio and programme reporting including developing dashboards
   » Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of information management systems
   » As part of the Portfolio Office, providing timely, quality advice and support on the development and implementation of internal process management initiatives and standardisation
   » Training and support of Delivery Teams regarding systems and processes. Being a centre of excellence for the Ministry Delivery Framework, templates, systems and process
   » Supporting reginoal project coordinators
   » General information management
About you
The ideal candidate for this function will be an organised and proactive self-starter with the capability to build relationships quickly.
Key success factors for this function are the following:
   » practice in providing support at a portfolio, programme, and project level
   » Proven capability in preparing documentation and reports
   » An analytical mind with the capability to review and amend financial and other project information
   » High level Microsoft Office expertise, strong Excel expertise, able to manipulate data in Excel Spreadsheets
   » Strong written and verbal communication and presentation expertise
   » Strong attention to detail and organisation expertise
   » capability to use technology effectively as part of everyday tasks
   » capability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively in a fast paced environment with high volume of activity
