The prosperous applicant will have a can-do attitude, be a team player, have an outstanding work ethic and be passionate about thoroughbred breeding & racing. The position includes the day to day care of thoroughbred horses of all ages. tasks will include, but are not limited to, feeding, grooming, mucking out reliables, assisting on vet days and making supplementary feeds; as well as care and attention to newborn foals if required and handling and education of weanlings and yearlings. As we begin to prepare our yearlings for the Annual Horse Sales which are held at the end of January, We are pursuing a person who is practiced with young thoroughbreds. The vacancy is 6 days per week and often up to 10-12 hour days during the summer. Information technology is a physical job providing the best care needed to raise good racehorses, but a compensateing one that requires dedication.
