Job Opportunity: Farm Work:Job description:Farm WorkPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($27)Job location: Amberley Hills Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 16/09/2021 Farm work required for 3 people starting Wednesday 22 September or soon after. Duration 2-4 weeks. The main task will be helping with the docking of lambs; setting up portable sheep pens, chasing in mobs of sheep and docking the lambs. Other work, when the weather is unappropriate, is gardening and fencing. In the first week there will be only 1 day of docking that we really need your help with. After that, to stay and work is optional, possibly walking the hills with a back pack spraying small gorse. Our main docking starts again around 29 September and will last for 2 weeks. The opportunity to stay on and do other jobs for a month after the docking is optional. Good food and accomodation, staying with the owner and his family, when they are there. Pay is $27 hr after the first 2 hrs to cover board and food. Work is usually 8-9 hrs per day unless the weather is really bad. The farm and house are in a spectacular location. This is a great opportunity to practice a genuine family farming operation in a magic part of NZ. A reasonable level of English is preferred.
