About the function
This is your opportunity to own and champion the sustaincapability space and have a significant footprint and contribution to an organisation's sustaincapability journey and goal of being carbon neutral by 2025. This newly created function continues the foundation work underway within the business improvement team and provides the opportunity to develop and shape the function including budget and resource requirements, form, structure, and processes etc. Key Responsibilities You will lead the development and implementation of the sustaincapability strategy and action plans, incorporating the Carbon Neutral Government Programme sustaincapability and carbon free objectives. You will have responsibility for carbon emissions measurement and reporting, identifying opportunities to economically minimize carbon emissions, implementing projects and initiatives nationally to achieve savings including benefits tracking, championing the organisations sustaincapability philosophy, and representing the organisation on national, regional and industry located working groups and associations. About You You will have a strong knowledge of and practice in carbon emissions measurement, reporting and reduction planning, and sustaincapability strategy and policy development supported by significant tertiary qualifications or formal studies in sustaincapability, environmental science or environmental management, or significant business discipline. Key to your success will be your adaptable and flexible approach and capability to build credibility, rapport, and strong collaborative cross functional relationships with stakeholders as you drive the organisations sustaincapability journey. practice could have been gained in regulated, pharmaceutical, health, FMCG manufacturing or Government sectors.Some national travel will be required.
