If you enjoy hands-on infrastructure engineering work, variety and travel - this is the function for you!We seek the skill and energy of 2 motivated Infrastructure Engineers for our client's Server Team, for a period of 12 months (a fixed term contract). The primary functions of these positions will be; » To assist with technology deployments of approved and inflight projects » To provide backfill support to other members of the Infrastructure Server Team There are a number of store related projects, which will be the primary focus. Tasks involved will include: » Deploying and replacing UPS’s into production environments » Deploying physical servers » Replacing life cycled hardware » Server room tidy-ups These projects are all after hours work, which will be spread over consecutive nights so that their stores can fully trade the following morning. You will be partnered with full-time employees from the Server Team, who will supervise the projects. Ideally, you should have some practice in doing this type of work and be good at following instructions and have a critical eye for detail. As these functions involve travel around the South Island, a full driver's license is required.
