Job Opportunity: 1000842 Service Coach AnyQuestions – Te ao Maori:Department of Internal Affairs - Te Tari TaiwhenuaJob description:Job DescriptionType: Fixed termHours: Full time Job location: Auckland Business Group: National Library Branch: Enterprise Partnerships income: $72,060 – $96,081 The Service Coach AnyQuestions - te ao M?ori will work with the Service Manager AnyQuestions and Services to Schools Poutiaki Rauemi, to engage with M?ori educators to scope a fit for purpose service offering for M?ori akonga. This includes the creation of resources that will support te Marau ?-Kura relating to Aotearoa New Zealand histories and Te Takanga o te W?. A key part of the function will also involve developing Many Answers entries from a tirohanga M?ori perspective, supporting, and written in te reo M?ori. AnyQuestions is a free online reference service for all New Zealand school students via live text-located chat that is managed by Services to Schools, Te Puna M?tauranga National Library of New Zealand. The individual we seek has the energy and drive to motivate and empower others, the flexibility to explore and take up innovative ideas, and the capability to be proactive in developing positive training solutions. We are seeking for Somebody with: » the expertise to interact with a wide variety of people and build working relationships at all levels across kura and the education sector, » a good knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and the New Zealand Curriculum, » the talent to express and convey information effectively via the spoken and written word in te Reo and English (in both formal and informal situations), » an interest in keeping up with current information literacy, trends and resources for children and teens, » practice developing people e.g. training, mentoring, coaching staff to reach their agreed goals, and » at least 2 years recent practice working with young people as either a kaiako, teacher or librarian, or working in a related field.
