Enjoy an early Friday finish! The purpose of this role is to provide products and service that revolutionises water management solutions for the New Zealand environment. Our client's products are used in the residential, manufacturing, industrial and municipal sectors. Their success is the result of continually innovating and creating quality products. Combined with the superior service that they give their customers; they are second to none. The company is a New Zealand owned medium-sized local manufacturing company and growing quickly. Key responsibilities: » Providing concept sketches/models/drawings and prototyping of new products » Completing and presenting feasibility studies for new products and solutions to bring to market » Completing design lifecycle documentation » Market testing, assessment, and documenting testing of new products » Producing final part drawings and specifications, production tooling and product manuals » Undertaking FEA analysis where applicable » Reading and understanding relevant standards and other technical information to enable appropriate designs » Working closely with the Operations team to ensure new products are designed for manufacture and undertaking rotational moulding About you: You will be an experienced Design Engineer who can bring your vision to life - you enjoy getting into the workshop, taking ideas from conception through to production. Naturally, you are passionate about product design, thriving on challenges and opportunities where you can utilise your expertise and innovation to create out of the box solutions to meet the requirements. You need to collaborate well with others and be confident managing the entire design lifecycle. You will also: » Be an advanced user in Solidworks » Demonstrate excellent technical capability with the ability to perform calculations from first principles » Be detailed oriented » Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills » Demonstrate a cool head under pressure, have strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects An excellent salary, job security, and opportunities for training and development is on offer for the right candidate.
