M? te t?ranga – About the function You will lead a team that manages a programme of work to improve how the Crown engages and works with ng? hap? o Ng?puhi to enable the wellbeing of Ng?puhi uri. this function plays an important leadership abilities function as a strategic manager, relationship broker, facilitator and advisor. By working practically with Crown agencies through policy, investment and services, this function will help embed more effective engagement practices, and support the Crown to deliver its obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This position operates at a unique intersection of Treaty settlement, M?ori Crown relationships and wellbeing. This is a two year fixed-term position. The position is located in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, with hybrid working available between the CBD office and home. Alternatively, this function may be located 100% in the house for candidates located in Te TaiTokerau. candidates need to be willing to travel. To be prosperous in this function you will bring the following: » People leadership abilities practice » Proven practice upholding the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi » Be familiar with te ao M?ori and ideally have te reo M?ori capcapability » practice managing complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams » practice leading policy development » Facilitation and delivery practice across social, economic and environmental sectors, particularly in Kaupapa M?ori and M?ori Crown partnerships » Demonstrated capability working across agencies and with iwi/M?ori partners and other regional stakeholders to achieve results » Strong expertise of Ministerial and Cabinet processes, statutory decision making, as well as problem-solving, relationship management and influencing expertise » Strong policy expertise, excellent written expertise and capability to brief for different audiences » Desire to contribute to the broader capcapability of the office as well as coaching staff and taking the lead on negotiations as appropriate Utu ?-tau/income The appointing income for this function will be between $124,397 and $173,973, depending on expertise and practice.
