Design Assembly is seeking an events and workshops manager to join a team that works together to inspire every designer in Aotearoa on their individual journey to live a good life in design.
The national events and workshop manager will work in collaboration with the director and the content marketing manager to strategise, design, implement, sell and supervise the national events and workshop series and sell and manage the DA Friend subscriptions through the events and workshops.

Their main responsibility will be to create, organise and facilitate and sell the national events and workshop series all over the year while maintaining the organisations values of being inclusive, educational and inspirational.

Events and Workshops Manager General Tasks:
   » Create and plan the national events and workshops program all over the year
   » Source speakers and teachers
   » Facilitation of the event or workshop on the day in Auckland
   » Working with the content marketing manager, create a content plan to market the events and workshops program
   » Book venue space, event equipment etc.
   » Keep and work to a budget for every events and workshop
   » Purchasing of materials for events, workshops as needed
   » Seek and secure new event sponsorship in the form of beverages, food and venue and paid partnerships
   » Seek and secure new DA Friend subscriptions
   » Increase ticket sales to DA events and workshops
   » Travel to Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch 1 - 2 times per year to run DA events and workshops

this function is part-time for 2 days a week with the potential to increase to 3 - 5 days a week. Hours can be worked in a flexible way to suit the person.
Remuneration will be located on practice between $65,000 and $70,000 pro rata.
Start date mid to late February 2023.
