Our work in the Policy group is wide-ranging, with opportunities to shape thinking and drive change across the justice and social sectors. It’s also complex and challenging, with new tests of your critical thinking and relationship management expertise every day.
We are seeking for Policy Advisors to join our growing criminal justice unit, which is made up of four teams:
   » Criminal Law – responsible for work relating to investigating, preventing, or prosecuting: crime, harassment, money laundering, counter-terrorism, and organised crime
   » Sentencing and Rehabilitation – responsible for work relating to bail, sentencing, pafunction, management of offenders in the community and rehabilitation of offenders through the criminal justice system
   » Terrorism and Law Enforcement – responsible for work related to counter terrorism, anti-money laundering and other law enforcement stewardship (e.g. search and surveillance legislation)
   » Harm Reduction and Public Safety – responsible for a range of work focused on keeping New Zealanders safe – related to alcohol, drug, and firearms regulation, intimate harm in the criminal law, and aspects of national intelligence and security

income Range: The appointing income for this function will be between $63,019 and $82,295 located on expertise and practice.
