this function is a newly created function, to assist with (and support continuing) the company’s intention to catch systems and processes up to the growth they now have. Ultimately you will be a person who is very systems savvy, has a great eye for detail, who is calm under pressure and who works with a collaborative approach. This is not an accounting function, however does require the practice to supervise (and therefore understand at a cellular level) AP, AR and payroll functions.
You will be the first person in this position, as the organisation moves forward to meet their new demands with the right systems and process support. Your function’s primary purpose is to lead and develop the finance team to ensure the effective management and allocation of all finance resources. To lead the development of the accounting and payroll systems to achieve full utilisation of these assets which include managing staff within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Finance Support.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership abilities and mentoring to the AR, AP and Payroll functions of the business.
• Assist with financial reporting for the business.
• Manage cash flow to ensure the company can pay creditors in a timely manner.
• Maintaining internal controls, financial management processes.
Key expertise and practice
• At least two years’ practice in a similar function
• Excellent written and oral communication expertise
• significant Qualifications
• Team leadership abilities practice
• Capable of building trusted and effective relationships with internal/external providers of the business.
• Have a good level of practice using Microsoft suite.
• practice in IMS and MYOB
• Down to earth attitude
